About galenIQ™
BENEO GmbH is part of the Südzucker Group and a member of the International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council (IPEC). BENEO produces galenIQ™ (Isomalt Ph. Eur., BP, USP-NF, JP), which is a water-soluble filler and binder. Derived from sucrose, galenIQ™ has a sweetness and taste profile that is very similar to sucrose, and therefore galenIQ™ is frequently used to improve the palatability of bitter-tasting active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and plant extracts. galenIQ™ is available in different median particle sizes, morphologies, and solubilities, which makes it the optimal choice for the formulation of a broad variety of dosage forms, such as chewable tablets, compressed lozenges, oro-dispersible mini-tablets, effervescents, and cough syrups.
