LNK International is recalling a batch of Kirkland branded cold and flu film-coated tablets sold at Costco after accidentally shipping potentially contaminated product.
The Long Island-based OTC drugmaker — manufacturer of the Kirkland brand cold and flu medicine sold at all Costco locations — is specifically recalling Cool Blast Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion caplets purchased at Costco between Oct. 30 and Nov. 30, 2024. According to LNK, the recall comes following the “accidental release and shipment of a specific lot code that was rejected due to potential foreign material contamination.”
This isn’t the first issue with LNK’s drug manufacturing facility. The facility was hit with an FDA Warning Letter in 2019, which noted that the firm did not investigate batch failures, releasing contaminated lots that had been flagged for microbial contamination.
