Bayer Opens $44M Pennsylvania Consumer Health Plant Expansion

Bayer announced the grand opening of its new 70,000-square-foot expansion at its Myerstown, Pennsylvania facility, following a $44 million investment in 2022.

"The expanded facility will further strengthen our commitment to providing safe, effective and high-quality self-care solutions that our consumers and customers can depend on," said Dave Tomasi, president of Bayer’s Consumer Health division in North America.

The new space is designed to move products more efficiently with eight new product packaging lines and automated systems in logistics. With the expansion, Bayer is increasing its ability to swiftly respond to the evolving needs of its consumers and customers.

Bayer’s Myerstown, Pennsylvania site has a history dating back over 75 years, and it has now grown to become the largest manufacturing site in Bayer’s Consumer Health network globally, producing brands such as Bayer Aspirin, Aleve, Claritin, One A Day, Alka-Seltzer Plus, Midol, and more.
