Roche’s Genentech has finalized an exclusive license agreement and collaboration with OMass Therapeutics for its preclinical oral small molecule program targeting inflammatory bowel disease.
The deal gives Genentech the rights to develop and commercialize the small molecule program using OMass’s Odyssion platform. OMass will receive $20 million upfront, with the remaining $400 million of the deal becoming available through milestone payments and tiered royalties on net sales.
OMass is a biotechnology company that identifies drugs that work on membrane programs, intracellular complexes, and other highly-validated target ecosystems. In the collaboration, the company will be responsible for initial preclinical development up to candidate selection. Genentech will lead the clinical development, regulatory activities, manufacturing and commercialization.
