ACG has announced that it will be investing $200 million in a phased investment in a hard shell capsule facility in Atlanta, Georgia, that will produce gelatin and vegetarian HPMC.
The investment will begin with $100 million designated for construction followed by another $100 million to expand capacity. The facility is expected to create more than 200 jobs when operations begin in early 2027. The program is part of ACG’s “Make It Better” commitment, which includes strengthening the company’s global presence.
ACG is the largest integrated supplier of solid dosage solutions in the world. It has had a presence in North America for more than 25 years, but this will be the first empty capsule manufacturing operation in the U.S. However, the company does currently manufacture liquid fill capsules in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and has several warehouses across country.
