IMA Group has agreed to purchase a majority of the company shares for specialized equipment provider ProSys Sampling Systems, in a move to strengthens IMA’s presence in aseptic and containment isolator technology.
Established in 1997, Ireland-based ProSys is a leading provider of isolator and sampling equipment to the global biopharmaceutical market. Per the deal, ProSys cofounder Michael McLoughlin will remain on as managing director of ProSys, which will continue to operate as an independent business.
IMA group, which has 56 manufacturing sites around the world, is a global leader in the development and production of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food products.
