Sanofi Expands India Global Capability Center

Sanofi Healthcare India has announced that it will be expanding its Global Capacity Center (GCC) in Hyderabad with an additional 2.7 lakh square meters (2.91 million square feet) of working space within the existing campus in Hitech City.

Inaugurated in 2024, Sanofi’s Hyderabad GCC has created jobs for highly-skilled workers in R&D, AI and digital innovation, data analytics, commerce, medicine, finances, and more. This expansion will bring the total number of employees up to 4,500, establishing the location as one of the top three pharmaceutical GCCs in the country. In its initial annoucement, Sanofi said it would spend €400 million (~$472 million) on the GCC by 2030.

Sanofi has GCCs across the globe, which act as strategic hubs to help the company deliver its enterprise solutions more effectively. This investment in India is worth several hundred million dollars, forming part of its strategic growth effort.
