STADA has announced that it is acquiring Orifarm’s healthcare portfolio, gaining the company 16 vitamin, mineral, and supplement (VMS) brands and subsequently driving its growth in Europe.
Already a leading consumer healthcare company, the acquisition will boost STADA’s position in Belgium, Poland, and the Nordics. The move is in line with the company’s aim to add brands that are leading in national and regional markets to its portfolio.
Products in the acquisition include more than 70 supplements in the Nycoplus pharmacy VMS line in Norway, more than 90 products from Apovit VMS in Denmark, magnesium-based supplements from Magnecaps in Belgium, and Vitrum VMS products in Poland. As part of the purchase, STADA will acquire some Orifarm employees, who will become part of its international Consumer Healthcare team.
