SPI Pharma and Colorcon have announced that they are entering into a strategic global partnership to increase adoption of and improve access to oral solid dose solutions.
The partnership will provide support to pharmaceutical formulators in OSD development and innovation around drug delivery through increased market coverage and customer reach. The companies also hope to drive awareness of dosage formats including chewable tablets, stick and sachet packs, orally-disintegrating tablets, and powders to enhance accessibility of oral doses.
SPI Pharma brings to the partnership its expertise in excipients, antacids actives, and drug delivery technologies along with its portfolio of drug delivery systems. Colorcon is a global leader in areas including film coatings, modified-release technologies, and controlled atmosphere packaging.
