Powder Transfer and Dust Collection

A powder transfer system moves granular materials from one place to another without exposing the material to the environment. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is a closed-loop system that moves powders between containers, processing units, and manufacturing equipment.

For fine, potent, or combustible materials, a pharmaceutical dust collection system is necessary for transporting powder during granulation, tablet compression, and filling capsules. The type necessary for a particular application depends on factors like volume, potency of APIs, and filtration requirements. All systems are made of either 304 or 316L stainless steel, have a mirror-polished finish to prevent microbial and powder adhesion, and use bag-in/bag-out and continuous liners to protect operators from potent APIs.
