Johnson & Johnson will officially start marketing four of its medications on the TrumpRx website, a direct to patient platform, according to reporting from CBS News.
The drugs include metformin, metformin extended release, Invokana (an SGLT2 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes) and blockbuster Xarelto (a blood thinner). Pricing on the platform shows discounts ranging from 62% to 68%.
The TrumpRx portal launched in February, giving consumers discounts on brand-name drugs when they pay in cash instead of using health insurance.
Back in January, J&J announced a voluntary agreement with the Trump Administration to lower costs by providing Medicaid access to prescriptions and listing products on the TrumpRx site, in exchange for the company’s exemption from tariffs on its pharma products.
